The Miami Vice is designed to chase snook in clear water. Although it was intended for snook, it works well on backcountry tarpon. When I designed this fly, I wanted something that would cast with ease, but yet provide a taller profile that pushed water and that also had great movement. This fly sports a black barred rabbit strip tail with a foul guard looped under it. White and shell pink is a killer combination of colors to use on snook patterns and retro wardrobe for Deco Drive in the 80’s.
