The skiff that is used is a 2023 16’7″ Skimmer Skiff. It is powered by a 2023 Tohatsu 50 horsepower engine. The boat drafts in 4 inches of water which allows me to be the first and last one on the flat. This boat can ride at a top speed of 40 miles per hour, and with a 20 gallon gas tank, it’s capable of traveling long distances in a short amount of time. The skiff is also the most stable skiff available in the technical polling skiff world. The vessel is also equipped with high-end electronics that include a Simrad EVO 3S,  transducer with fish finder, trolling motor with GPS positioning, and much more.

What you need to bring: Please bring polarized sunglasses (copper lens if possible), a hat, sunscreen, your meal, snacks, and drinks for the day. Please keep in mind that I have Yeti 45 cooler on board and space is limited.

What to wear: Please dress accordingly for the weather that is forecasted during your trip. For the majority of the year, the temperature is between 78 degrees and 90 degrees. I recommend that my clients come with clothes for that type of environment such as: long sleeve microfiber polyester or light cotton t-shirts, shorts or light pants, and sneakers or sandals. If you come in the winter months, it is very unusual of the temperature to drop below 45 degrees so light winter gear is all that is recommended for winter fishing. We get a lot of rain in South Florida and a light rain coat is highly recommended to insure that you are comfortable in the case that it rains.
